I’m so glad you’re posting some of your beautiful poetry! So much poetry—so much of life—seems to be about that juxtaposition between grief and love, holding both at the same time.
Really like your poem and the way you explain the poems you took inspiration from! Trying to use juxtaposition and contrasting images is definitely something I'd like to play around with a bit more in my own poetry, so thank you for providing this inspiration!
Oo, oo, oo, I had a thought! Oh my goodness a real poetic thought. It may be become anything but … what a relief! Thanks Nelly. I did enjoy Tuesday. I’ll post my poem on Fridays chat later.
Thank you for this nudge 😃. Not yet, but I will see what comes right now. And perhaps nice to mention that inspired by your essay, I downloaded an ebook from Mark Nepo and started reading in it earlier today during a rare moment nobody else was at home. It was a lovely moment.

Doesn’t it just. Yes. Doesn’t it just ❤️

Oof, you shared Rainbows 🥲 I love juxtaposition in poetry, I love poems where it takes your breath away, where it shocks you.
Me too. Think it’s my fave from the book! X
Lisa, your poem is stunning.
Thank you Margaret, that's really kind ❤️
I love reading your poem, Nelly. All three poems together are beautiful and sad.
I'm going to join in on Friday! I love this prompt!
Hurrah xx
This is a really interesting prompt and I'm going to try it.
I really enjoyed your essay, your poetry and the poems of others you shared. Thank you.
What lovely words to read on a Sunday morning. Thank you for swinging by. Have I tempted you to write your own? X
